To expand its global export footprint, the Philippines will make its historic debut at Food Ingredients Europe (Fi Europe) 2026. Carrying the national export banner FOODPhilippines, the Philippine delegation steps onto the world’s premier food ingredients stage to showcase high-value agrifood solutions, natural tropical ingredients, and flexible private label capabilities.
Taking place from November 17 to 19, 2026, at Messe Frankfurt in Germany, this inaugural participation is spearheaded by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotion arm of the Philippine government, in collaboration with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) - Berlin.
The initiative advances CITEM’s mandate to assist MSMEs in breaking into high-value foreign markets while cultivating long-term commercial relationships with European food manufacturers, R&D developers, and global distributors.
European markets present a natural destination for Philippine agrifood products as buyer demand shifts toward natural, functional, and clean-label foods, according to market intelligence from the Netherlands-based Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI). As European processors seek sustainable, traceable supply chains and exotic flavor profiles, the Philippines is well-positioned to bridge the gap with its rich agricultural biodiversity, delivering high-value tropical inputs—such as coconut derivatives, premium fruit purees, and plant-based formulations—engineered to satisfy stringent EU quality and safety standards.
"Our debut at Fi Europe is a milestone win for Filipino exporters and a major catalyst for our local ingredients sector," said CITEM Executive Director Leah Pulido Ocampo. "By stepping onto Europe’s premier ingredients stage, we are opening new avenues for local processors to scale, capturing international leads, and securing a lasting foothold in global value chains."
The strategic expansion aligns with robust domestic industrial growth. Industry data from Ken Research shows the Philippine food ingredients market is projected to expand from USD 1,471 million in 2025 to USD 2,175 million by 2031, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.74%. This domestic momentum positions Philippine processors to capture a greater share of the international market.
Positioned as a dedicated sourcing hub, the Philippine Pavilion will highlight five key exporters showcasing the nation’s diverse processing capabilities: See's International Food Mfg. Corp., KLT Fruits, Inc., PFP Corporation, Blue Macay Food Manufacturing Corp., and Miguelitos Ice Cream. Together, these manufacturers present a versatile portfolio spanning tropical fruit purees, concentrates, and powders as well as customized seasonings, fruit strips, marmalade teas, and plant-based condiments.
Gathering over 27,000 industry professionals from more than 135 countries, Fi Europe offers an unmatched platform for B2B matchmaking, market intelligence, and collaborative product development. For the Philippines, the three-day show serves as a direct gateway to generate qualified leads, forge international partnerships, and benchmark local processing capabilities against rigorous European technical, labeling, and regulatory standards.
