The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) capitalizes on the country’s record-high agricultural export growth to showcase premium tropical flavors and innovations for the Chinese market and the scaling capabilities of Philippine food makers across the region.
Carrying the country's collective food export brand FOODPhilippines, a delegation of 30 food manufacturers and exporters aims to solidify the nation’s standing as a premier ASEAN sourcing destination for high-value tropical food, beverage, and ingredients through its participation in this year’s China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, China.
Happening from November 5-10, 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), the Philippine Pavilion reflects the Philippines' agricultural capabilities while it readily adapts to the global demand for health-focused, eco-conscious, and convenient nutrition.
The Philippine showcase arrives in Shanghai supported by a historic export performance. Official trade data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Agricultural Foreign Trade Statistics shows national agricultural export revenues in 2025 reaching an all-time record of US$9.25 billion, which translates to a 19.3% surge from the US$7.75 billion recorded in 2024. This was driven primarily by high-value tropical crops and processed agrifood products.
A major anchor of this year’s delegation focuses on coconut innovations, with many exhibitors showcasing/featuring high-value coconut derivatives, such as virgin coconut oil (VCO), fractionated coconut oils, organic sugar, coconut water, and beverages, among others. These are complemented by the country’s core tropical fruit offerings, like the Puyat durian, which continues to gain strong traction in China’s high-demand import market, alongside Carabao mangoes, bananas, and processed calamansi products. Also awaiting buyers is an array of specialty snacks, artisanal tablea cacao, and functional plant-based health blends, many of which are available for B2B manufacturing and retail distribution.
The Philippines, a global powerhouse in coconut exports, brings a diverse portfolio of value-added coconut products tailored for the international market.
China remains a pivotal trade partner for the Philippines. CITEM Executive Director Leah Pulido Ocampo emphasized the importance of capitalizing on this trade momentum, noting that CIIE serves as a crucial platform to elevate Philippine food enterprises within global supply chains.
“China’s massive import market provides a vital gateway for our local small and medium enterprises to transition from commodity suppliers into competitive, value-added global players.“ She said that demonstrating the strength of Philippine agrifood as premium quality, with functional nutritional benefits and sustainable practices “reinforces our country’s role as a go-to sourcing destination in Southeast Asia, and creates lasting economic pathways that are inclusive of grassroots communities.”
The momentum builds on the country’s milestone performance at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), where Philippine exhibitors secured a record US$60 million in export sales. This amount is the highest figure generated since CITEM first led the national delegation in 2004, and highlights the expanding market share, buyer confidence, and sustained demand for Filipino agrifood products across regional Chinese markets.
As global markets demand cleaner labels and natural wellness ingredients, the Philippine showcase brings a distinctive value proposition to CIIE 2026:
Premium and functional tropical flavors: Highlighting high-value tropical staples, such as coconut derivatives, banana, mango, pineapple, and indigenous superfoods. These are processed into high-purity, nutrient-rich ingredients for food manufacturing, food service, and retail markets.
Sustainable and ethical sourcing: Emphasizing regenerative farming practices, traceable supply chains, and farm-to-table integrity that support local farming communities and conserve biodiversity.
Convenient agrifood solutions: Offering modern agrifood products, such as ready-to-eat (RTE) and drink formulations, freeze-dried and dried fruits, natural sweetening alternatives, and functional snacks that help deliver healthy nutrition without compromising convenience for modern, fast-paced lifestyles.
The following FoodPhilippines exhibitors bring these offerings to fruition: AG Pacific Nutraceuticals Corporation; Andy Albao Corporation; Audrey’s Confectioneries; BJM Plouteo Agricultural Export Trading; Century Pacific Agriventures; CJ Uniworld; Dolce de Oro Manufacturing Inc.; Eng Seng Food Products; Fabled Goods of the East, Inc.; Federation of People’s Sustainable Development Cooperative; Fruta Asiatica; FSJ Pasalubong Sentral; GERB Golden Hands; Healthy Sweets Mindanao Corporation; Indophil Asia Fresh, Inc.; Limketkai Manufacturing Corporation; Lionheart Farms (Philippines) Corporation; Maylong Enterprises Corporation; New Asia Oil, Incorporated; Oleo-Fats, Incorporated; Pasciolco Agri Ventures; Profood International Corporation; Real’s Food Products; Sol’s Italian Food; Sunbursts Balay Tablea; Treelife Coco Sugar; Tropicana Food Products, Inc; Wellnesscare International Corp.; Year Luck Food and Industrial Corporation, and 888 MML Corporation.
