For nearly two decades, Kwality Philfood Inc. has been connecting global consumers to the authentic flavors and comfort of Filipino food.
Kwality Philfood Inc. has spent almost 20 years fulfilling the cravings of Filipinos abroad by exporting authentic food and beverages that remind them of home. Established as an export consolidator, the company saw the growing demand from the Filipino communities abroad, one of the world’s largest expatriate communities, and has since become a trusted gateway for Filipino products in more than 30 countries.
According to Mr. George Shibu, Chief Operating Officer of Kwality Philfood Inc., the company was founded around 18 years ago with a simple yet powerful idea: to bridge Filipino consumers abroad with the flavors of home. “We saw a huge potential for authentic Filipino food, especially among the more than 10 million Filipinos living and working around the world,” he shared. “That’s when we decided to move into this segment and started exporting these products globally.”
From bakery products and confectionery to beverages, snacks, and ready-to-eat (RTE) food, Kwality Philfood works closely with manufacturers to ensure authenticity, quality, and shelf life that meet global standards. Its portfolio spans over 5,000 stock keeping units (SKUs), including some of the country’s most affordable snacks that Filipino families love, such as Lemon Square Philippines products. Beloved products from this brand, including snack cakes, cheese cupcakes, brownies, bread houses, and choco bars, have become staples that connect Filipino communities abroad to the familiar flavors of home.
The company’s extensive partnerships include well-known manufacturers such as Liwayway (maker of Oishi), Regent Foods, and Unilever. “We tie up directly with these manufacturers to ensure every product we export is of export quality, meets the desired shelf life, and complies with the importing country’s FDA and health norms,” explained Mr. Shibu. He added that the company’s warehouse operations are certified by various agencies to guarantee hygiene, safety, and compliance with international standards, reflecting their commitment to providing the best possible quality to end consumers.
As a one-stop export solution, Kwality Philfood consolidates a diverse range of categories, including ready-to-eat (RTE) snacks and savories as well as home meal replacement food, cereals and cereal products, noodles, seafood, fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, and dairy products, food ingredients, condiments, and sweeteners, and functional and nutraceutical foods. The company customizes packaging and labeling, from Arabic translations for the Middle East to French for Canada, ensuring compliance while keeping Filipino food accessible and authentic.
Beyond serving overseas Filipinos, Kwality Philfood’s lineup of nostalgic Filipino snacks attracts local consumers worldwide. From pasalubong (homecoming gift) treats to baon (packed meals) ideas for kids and school snacks, Philippine families rely on it to continue to build its reputation as a family snack brand and a proud representative of Filipino culinary culture.
Through the years, Kwality Philfood Inc. has remained steadfast in championing Filipino food culture on the global stage. Its operations now span North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania, with the company actively seeking expansion opportunities in Africa. “We are across all continents except Africa,” said Mr. Shibu. “Wherever there is a Filipino, that’s an opportunity for us. From Norway to New Zealand, there’s a market for Filipino products.”
Beyond serving overseas Filipinos, the company is also seeing growing interest from foreign consumers, with Filipino products increasingly finding their way into mainstream supermarkets and Asian aisles abroad. This expanding reach highlights how Filipino flavors are gaining traction among international customers discovering these products for the first time.
He emphasized that Filipino consumers overseas prefer products made in the Philippines, even if similar versions are available locally, because of their distinctive flavor and emotional connection. “There’s pride in consuming Filipino-made products,” he said. “It’s not just about taste, it’s about identity and belonging.”
Kwality Philfood continues to balance tradition with innovation, using modern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and analytics to track demand and improve operations. “We call it an end-to-end service - from sourcing and documentation to logistics and compliance. It’s not just exporting; it’s ensuring every detail reflects the quality that the Philippines is known for,” Mr. Shibu added.
A regular exhibitor at the International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines, the country’s largest B2B, international food and ingredients trade show organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), Kwality Philfood Inc. sees the event as a vital platform for growth. “It’s one of the best opportunities to showcase Filipino products to the rest of the world,” the company shares.
At IFEX Philippines, exhibitors highlighted innovations in plant-based alternatives, allied food industries, and trade services, and more. For Kwality Philfood, IFEX Philippines was both a showcase for its wide product basket and a springboard for new distribution networks in emerging markets.

As it expands its reach, the company continues to share the flavors, memories, and pride of the Philippines, one snack at a time.
